I did not have time to paint today.
I have a funeral to attend on Saturday in Coatesville and that requires a haircut! I cannot be around my relatives with a natty head!
Packed the van, then I helped Linda get some of her garden cleaned up and a bike ride.

2018 Still Life #11

SOLD!
4"x 6 Miniature Original Watercolor
$125. (unframed) Available to the 1st person to email.
If unclaimed by 3/29 at 7pm the price goes to $250!

Back to a still life.  I would love to do simple little vignettes but I just cannot seem to make myself.  They all turn into these complicated full scenes.  This is a Shaker room and that board on the windowsill is to hold up the window when you open it.

Meanwhile I have also been working on larger paintings.
14x18  "Lost One..."   I was a bit bored so I added a little action by making one of the pears falling.

If you are looking for something to do this Friday, yes only on Friday...

2018 Iceland #3

 6"x 4" Miniature Original Watercolor
$225

I was on a roll with painting Iceland, several miniatures
and below is a 14x18" Lighthouse near Vic.  There is just
something about the land that speaks to me, but I promised
Linda I would stop with Iceland until I sold these...

2018 Iceland #2

 6"x 4" Miniature Original Watercolor
$225

Iceland was often overcast, a bit foggy.

Last week flew by.  Classes, my father-in-laws 84th birthday dinners, I ran to Philadelphia to see an ill friend, suburban went in for inspection, Saturday evening spent with friends.   OK, I will also admit to getting a few bike rides in...   Monday, Linda had a few errands to run and I cut down some brush in her garden because she is not to bend too far.  And again, it was so nice I had to ride!  But I am getting a little painting done.

Monday check in

There just wasn't time today... Linda's list was long!
We had a show in NJ over the weekend and I finished
this painting.
14x18", untitled... open to suggestions.
The photo was from a good friend Amy.

Thursday we went to the Philadelphia Flower Show.  Linda's first big walking outing.  She did well but needed to ice and rest a bit on Friday in time to go set up the weekend show.  So while walking around I'm taking several photos with paintings in mind and I realized I always say "I am not a flower painter".  But they were so nice.

Today was emotional for me, track started for the first time in 20+ years without me.

2018 Still Life #10

2018 Still Life #10  - 6"x 4" Miniature Original Watercolor
$300

Crocks, crocks, crocks!  I love painting crocks.
Creating the texture and the shine.  Noticing the slight
variations in color.

I cancelled my classes for Wednesday with plans to get
my snow blower out... When I realized nothing much was
going to happen I emailed my students they could come if they
wanted to venture out.  One lucky new student ended up with
a private lesson and all my attention!  Linda made tomato
soup but for the most part the day was nothing as we planned!

Thursday we are headed to the Philadelphia Flower Show.
I hope Linda is not expecting me to get any inspiration...

I love the study of a full moon night...

Looks like I might need to use my snow blower!
I was not expecting to cancel my class the second week
in March.

2018 Iceland #1

2018 Iceland #1  - 4"x 6" Miniature Original Watercolor
$225

I keep going back to Iceland simply because I love the
water and the land.

Today we spent the day at Jenner's Pond Retirement Community
in West Grove, PA.  It is a very nice community.  I gave a two
hour demonstration and chat
to a wonderful group of residentswhile Linda hung a huge display of prints and originals in the hallways. Sorry but the exhibit is private.
I then treated Linda to an excellent  lunch at Twelves Grill & Cafe
in West Grove, PA.

Looking ahead to the weekend...
